Our Coffee Hour is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow members, meet our dedicated volunteers, and chat with group leaders in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Whether you're new to NVS or a long-time member, this is a great way to socialize, share experiences, and learn more about our community.

Jane Austen was born in rural Hampshire in 1775. She died at the comparatively young age of 41, but in her short life she completed six full-length novels and today she is one of Britain’s best-loved novelists; indeed she features on the ten pound note.

Expert tour guides will lead NVS members on guided walking tours of Cambridge. These walks will take place on Tuesdays after the talk concludes and will last approximately one hour. Please refer to our weekly newsletter for the meeting point details.

This group is for adults. Please bring your favourite sketchbook, or just pencil and paper, and join the Art for All Levels group. Some materials will be available, and there will always be something interesting to draw or paint. Enjoy shared company and ideas. Over time, your drawing skills and confidence will improve. 

Join us for an afternoon full of fun, games, light snack and refreshments. A great event for the whole family to enjoy.

Whether you are experienced in crochet, a long-time knitter, or trying it out for the first time, join our group on Thursdays from 10:00-12:00. Everyone is welcome, crochet or knitting is not essential. Most materials will be provided. 

Join Nicole on Fridays for Eddington Sketchers.  

Bring along your favourite sketchbook — or simply a pencil and paper — and enjoy coffee or tea while sketching with the Eddington Sketchers in friendly company.

All materials provided to make your own block printed tea towel (Pebeo Setacolor Fabric Paint, high quality white cotton tea towels, hand carved wooden fabric stamps from India), although people are welcome to also bring plain white cotton T-shirts or jeans to print!

Join one of our volunteers as they host you for Afternoon Tea at their home.  Experience this very British ritual with other NVS members and get to know our volunteers.
