Getting to Cambridge
Cambridge is well connected to several London airports, making it easy to reach by train, coach, or car. It is advisable to plan your journey in advance and check connections before travelling.
London Stansted is the closest airport, located around 25 miles from Cambridge. It offers a direct train service taking approximately 35 minutes, as well as regular National Express coach services.
London Luton is approximately 40 miles away. You can travel via the Luton Airport DART to Luton Airport Parkway station and then continue by train via London or connecting routes to Cambridge. Direct coach services are also available via National Express.
London Heathrow is around 70 miles from Cambridge and serves a wide range of international destinations. You can travel to central London using the Elizabeth Line or London Underground, then take a direct train from King’s Cross or Liverpool Street to Cambridge. Coach services operate regularly.
London Gatwick is just under 100 miles away and offers a wide range of international flights. Train services are available direct from the airport to Cambridge.
London City Airport is approximately 48 miles from Cambridge and mainly serves European destinations. You can travel into central London via the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and connect to a train to Cambridge.
