The Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (MAA) in Cambridge has recently opened a new off-site facility for storage and public engagement, the Centre for Material Culture (CMC). Housed in a repurposed Cold War bunker and Grade II–listed building, the CMC contains archaeology and anthropology collections from 177 countries. These collections hold deep cultural significance for communities both locally and around the world.
