Newcomers and Visiting Scholars

    Expert tour guides will be taking NVS members on a walking tour of Cambridge on selected dates. The walks will be on Tuesdays after the talk ends and last around an hour. Members will be told which dates and where to meet in the newsletter and our Facebook page.

    This group is for adults. Please bring your favourite sketchbook, or just pencil and paper, and join the Art for All Levels group. Some materials will be available, and there will always be something interesting to draw or paint. Enjoy shared company and ideas. Over time, your drawing skills and confidence will improve.

    Whether you are experienced in crochet, a long-time knitter, or trying it out for the first time, join our group on Thursdays from 10:00-12:00. Everyone is welcome, crochet or knitting is not essential. Most materials will be provided.

    Create Your Own Stunning Beaded Earrings
    Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll craft beautiful, earrings using Preciosa glass seed beads. Guided by Leisa, an NVS member, you'll learn the techniques to design elegant jewerly and discover top tips for constructing your own earrings with simple hand tools.

    Join one of our volunteers as they host you for Afternoon Tea at their home.  Experience this very British ritual with other NVS members and get to know our volunteers.

    Simone invites you to join her for a leisurely walk. The walks are during the weekend for about an hour and a half. These will be informal walks,  when pushchairs and children are welcome too: stroll along with new friends and enjoy the time together.
