In 2025, a five-year project at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (MAA) to hazard-check, transport, photograph and rehouse over 300,000 objects to the Centre for Material Culture (CMC) came to an end. These collections span 177 countries and are of tremendous, cultural significance to communities living both locally and globally. The CMC is a newly opened research facility and public engagement site for engaging audiences, students and researchers in collections cared for by MAA.
Learn more about how CMC facilitate access to the collections for a wide range of audiences, including students in higher and further education as well as community groups living across Cambridgeshire.
